Chapter 36.

Singapore. Woodlands.

“The doctor said that you'll have to use a wheelchair for now until your wounds are fully healed, then when you return home, you can walk on your own,” Emma said, explaining why the nurse brought a wheelchair for him.

“Alright,” Liam responded, and he was helped by the nurse.

He sat in the wheelchair and was pushed to the bathroom. Once he was done in there, he sat back in the wheelchair and rolled it outside by himself.

He was assisted back on the bed, still connected to the drip that was passing some drugs into his system.

“Do you feel any pain?” the nurse asked.

“Not any that I haven't been feeling since the anesthesia wore off. But I'm fine; there's nothing to worry about.” Liam replied.

The nurse nodded and exited the room.

Liam looked at Emma and noticed that she had spaced out. He snapped his fingers close to her face and she flinched.
