Chapter 60

Liam took steps back and sighed in relief as he saw Vincent falling to the ground. Vincent had been the one who was shot and though Liam was not a bad person, he was happy to see his attacker down.

Liam walked tentatively towards Vincent to check if Vincent was still alive.

Vincent felt a searing pain as he felt the bullet hit him. He did not wear a bulletproof shirt because he did not know that his plan was going to backfire. The pain sent him sprawling to the ground, and he was almost on the verge of losing consciousness.

He noticed Liam coming towards him and decided to pretend to be dead, and truly it was almost as if he was dying. He tried to stay conscious, to still be aware of his environment. Everything depended on his survival, and he was not ready to die yet, at least not without taking Liam along with him.

He waited for the perfect time to attack. He knew from the experience of these sorts of things that Liam was going to come to check on him to know if he was truly dead
