Chapter 99

Liam had taken Emma away from the stage and the negative spotlight. He led her to the garden and made her sit on a bench.

He sat by her side and held her cold hand that was trembling.

“Why didn't you tell me about them?” Liam asked softly. He didn't have a judgmental tone, nor did he have a hateful gaze for her. “Were you afraid that I would leave you?”

Emma gently nodded and sniffed, “I thought that you would leave me, especially since I had them in quite the wrong way. I don't even know who their father is,”

Liam was shocked by her words, but he still didn't criticize her.

“How did it happen? Were you raped?” Liam asked, feeling bad for her.

“Something like that,” Emma let out a sigh. “I didn't want you to see me as a burden to you. A lot of men don't want women with kids because it comes with a lot of responsibilities,”

“I don't care about responsibilities. I will learn how to be a good father to them. I love you and I can't abandon you for something that was out of your control,”
