"Rest easy, baby. Time will come. Daddy will come and find you. 'Til then, be a good girl for me and behave."
"See? This is why I forbid you to go out in the rain, Madie." Sister Mary Eunice said, "You always get sick so easily."
Madeline frowned, for she does not get sick easily. She just gets sneezes and coughs but that's all. She was not sick.
'Yeah, sure. Keep telling yourself that, Madie.'
She shook her head, but that was bad because it caused her headache to worsen. Stupid head.
Sister Mary Eunice was wiping her forehead as she lectured the distracted girl, saying that she shouldn't have been playing alone in the rain. But she wasn't playing alone. Sister was supposed to be with her and chase her until she tagged me. That was the rule of Tag.
But no. Nooo.
She chose to stay here in the orphanage because the other Sisters weren't here, and the kids needed a guardian. Whatever.
She could play by herself if she wanted to.
Madie sneezed once again, and her head ached because of it. Stupid fever. She wasn't supposed to get sick! She had so many things planned. She was supposed to play and eat and play today.
Ellie, her stuffy, was beside her, helping her get rid of the stupid fever. She wanted to play with her as soon as possible too, so she needed to get well fast.
"Alright, that's it." said Sister "All finished. You rest now, Madie. You don't want to stay sick for tomorrow, do you?"
Tomorrow?
"What is tomorrow, Sister?" Madeline asked, she couldn't remember what's going to happen tomorrow. Was it her birthday? No, she didn't think so. Was it Sister's birthday?
"Silly girl, don't tell me you've forgotten?" she said, a teasing smile on her pretty lips "Margo, Ali, and Jacob are going to be adopted tomorrow."
"Oh."
She smiled and kissed Madie's forehead. She didn't say anything else. Well, she couldn't. There wasn't a point in telling her 'Don't worry, you'll be adopted, too' or 'Someone will pick you'.
That would be a lie.
Sister Mary Eunice left the room, smiling at the solemn girl. It was a smile of pity. She knew what Madie was thinking, what she wanted to say.
No one wanted her. Nobody ever did. They thought she was weird and too... childish. People tell her to act like my age, like I'm supposed to be at age 20, but she can't. She couldn't.
And they can't understand.
They were so lucky. Madie wanted to be adopted, too. She wanted to have a family, too. She wanted a mommy or a daddy, too.
But no one ever wanted her.
No one liked her.
It was lucky that she wasn't thrown out of her home two years ago, when she was 18. They knew that she had no place to go... and that she wouldn't be able to handle the life outside.
Reality was too harsh. Too scary and dark.
Little Madie couldn't handle it.
But she wanted a family, she wanted friends. Or maybe even a daddy who'll take care of her.
She knew what kind of lifestyle she was living in. She was already 20 and still acted like a little girl.
A previous girl who lived here, Amy, was like just like Madie. But she could be a big girl if she wanted to. Madie couldn't.
Amy was like her, a little. And she got lucky to have a daddy who wanted her.
She taught Madie all about having a daddy. That's why she wanted one, too. She wanted someone to take care of her, to want her, to love her. She wanted someone who will accept her, wholly.
And maybe her secrets too.
Madeline blinked, tears were starting to pile up in her eyes and it hurts. She was so jealous of the other kids. She knew she shouldn't be; she should be a good girl and be happy for them. But she wanted what they have, too. She wants love, too.
She looked over at Ellie, eyes watering "I want a daddy, Ellie." she sniffled "I want a daddy."
And then she slept. She was so tired from playing and crying that she didn't bother fighting the sleep, even though it wasn't bedtime yet.

"Joder!" [Fuck!]
The angry man's yell made everyone in the room flinch. But they couldn't utter a thing.
'These stupid fools couldn't even do their job right. Hijo de p**a!' [Son of a bitch!]
"Who was it?" he asked, pertaining to the person who saw his men kill of my previous clients. Someone peeped at his business and they were going to get what was coming to them.
"Who the fuck was it?!"
No one answered him. They were too scared to even pronounce a single name.
"D..." one of them, Adon, spoke "D, we don't know who it was."
His name was Dario Espinosa. Famous for his products, illegal businesses, and well, his face.
The headache that was starting to form in his head doubled. Theses idiots didn't do the job properly and had someone to witness, and they don't even know who the fuck it was.
"Then fucking find them." Dario answered, his eyes burning while he looked at them "And this will be the last time... the last fucking time that you mess up, Adon. There won't be a next chance for you."
He nodded slowly, his eyes quivering with fear. They were close, Adon and him, but when it comes to work, a small mess up can result to a bigger one. So no one should ever mess up.
"Larguense." [Get out]
All of them got out of the room and went back to work. Adon and the others knew what they had to do.
Whoever it was, whether they had family or friends, didn't matter. They picked the wrong road to pass and wrong people to see. It may be an accident, or maybe they didn't even see a thing.
It didn't matter.
They had to find the fucker and do what they were born to do. Kill.
"Never talk to strangers. You know how strangers are. They are dangerous and bad. You hear me, baby?"Madeline was supposed to deliver a mail today. Sister Agatha, one of the sisters in the orphanage, wanted her to mail an important letter to someone. It was one of her chores. She didn't read who it was for. It was boring.'Why couldn't they just use a phone or an email? That's more convenient than writing mails. But meh. It's fine.'Her thoughts ran wild in her head. She gets to explore around town to and from the post office. She was like an explorer!Madie hopped on the steps of the road, passing the park on the way. She remembered what happened the other day ago. Like, four days ago. She remembers the four men, too. And their toys. She didn't know what it was, and she didn't ask anyone else. Not even Sister Mary Eunice. Ellie didn't know what is was. What kind of toy makes a 'bang' sound?
"There are friends. There is family. Then there are friends who become family.""Cake?" I asked Hop again, who was by my side at the grand kitchen. We reached their house, which is huge by the way. Huge! It had a garden, and a separate garage. Inside there was like dozens of rooms and bathrooms. There was this huge sofa in the living room and this! This enormous kitchen and dining area! It's like a whole community lived here. Everything was huge!"It's-it's coming soon, Madie." he said, smiling at me softly. His eyes were staring at me like he was seeing something he liked. Did I look pretty to him?He said soon. He said that earlier, too."But you said that a thousand times already! I want cake, Hop." I pouted at him; hugging Ellie close to me. It was unfair. He said they had cake and cookies.Liar. There was nothing to eat. No sweets. Just veggies.I didn't want veggies. I wanted
"Dear Daddy, I can't wait to meet you. You might not know me yet, but I swear I'll love you like I love unicorns! I'll be a really good girl for you, Daddy!"I smirked as I saw one of my men beating up someone who had a debt to me. The fucker thought he could escape me and leave the country. Too bad because I got to him first."Crees que puedes escapar de mi, bastardo?"[You think you can escape me, bastard?I snickered at the man that I was holding by the collar. Fucker."No, no." he pleaded, tears building up in his eyes "No, señor."[Sir]"Really?"I let him go and approached his bed, where passports and a luggage were placed. "Then what is this, Ramon?" I showed him the passport that I was holding in my hand, a teasing smile on my lips.He sobbed, tears running down his face. The pleasure of seeing him cry and beg fed the hunger inside of me. The hunger to hurt
"Who are you?Are you my Daddy?"Another day, another sunshine! Boring sunshine, that is.It's been days since I've hung out with Adon and Hop and Neil. Almost a week, really. I'm starting to miss them so!I haven't been able to talk to them since I don't have a phone. I just go to the park and stay there, hoping that they'd go there. It's been five days, and still, they didn't come.It was fine, though. Maybe they were busy guarding someone. Or something. Like a mall or a restaurant or something.I yawned, today was so boring. It was three in the afternoon and we just had lunch. I wanted to go out to the park again, but I was too lazy. But what if Adon and Hop comes to the park? What if they want to play?I sighed. Should I go? Should I stay and just sleep? What should I do?I sighed again. I was so, so bored. For the third time, I sighed. I st
"One look at you and I knew that I could give you all the stars in the sky, baby.""Hey, D."Neil, one of my men, was standing by the door as I signed my papers away. My clients wanted huge amount of products, while some of them needed my help. I needed to prepare for shipment before the end of the week, the deadline is near and since I just caught one rat in my midst, everything was a fucking disaster. It was a fucking busy week."Que?" [What?] I asked. He wouldn't interrupt my work in my office for nothing. I shifted my eyes to him, the rim of my glasses blocking his view a bit."The girl..." he started "Madie"Ahh. The witness to Adon's stupidity. Who knew it would be a girl? The moment Adon said that the peeper was a little girl, I was expecting it to be a literal child. But after calming down and asking the details, it wasn't a child after all.It was alittle.
"Pushing someone away and distancing yourself gives you a reason to love harder.""Salir."[Get out]I snarled at the bitch who was still laying in the bed. I finished fucking her and it seems like she thought she was someone special. The room I was in was at one of my bars in the city, I can still hear the loud music from the first and second floor. All the VIP rooms were in the third floor."But baby..." she purred out, sounding like a fucking dead cat. "We're not finished yet."I turned to look at her and glared, her blonde hair irritating me more than it should. "Maybe you didn't hear me right."I stepped closer and when I was inches away, I grabbed her jaws by with my hand and squeezed. She turned red right away, her eyes tearing up. Great.A bitchanda crybaby."Get. The. Fuck. Out.Puta."[Bitch]Her teary
"Daddy is all you need, baby. Nothing and no one else. Just me. Just Daddy.""Madie. What are you doing here?"She didn't answer for a while. Her body was turned to me, and her hands were together. Her feet were also shifting here weight from left to right. She was nervous. Around me.It took everything in me not to coo at her. She was adorable."Uhm..." she mumbled, her voice stuttering a bit "Ellie."I couldn't hear her, maybe because she was a bit far. And she was mumbling her words. Her head moved and she looked at the floor, getting all shy.I smiled gently at her, even though she wasn't looking at me. "I didn't catch that, sweetheart. What was that?"She shifted her feet again, before moving her head back and looking at me. She was blushing now.Adorable."Ellie." mumbling once again."No mumbling, baby. I can't hear you." There was no reprimanding in my voice. I
"But Daddy, I don't understand. Why can't I be with you? I promise I'll be a good girl. Please. I want to be with you, Daddy.""Madie?" It was Sister Mary Eunice calling from outside.I was about to leave again for Adon and the others' house.I dressed up with a pretty pink summer romper with a white shirt inside. I feel good today, and I feel pretty.I had my bag on my shoulder and ready to go, but Sister Mary Eunice blocked the door and called me."Yes?" I asked, smiling at Sister Mary Eunice. I was in such a good mood today. I was excited and I'd get to play with Hop and Adon and Neil.Sister Mary Eunice's eyes shifted up and down, like she was looking right through me. But just at my clothes.Did she find me pretty?"Where are you going, Madie?" she asked curiously."To my friend’s house!" I answered her, jumping up and down. It's been many times that I'
