Maeve POV

“Everything is perfect,” the doctor said, rubbing the gel off my stomach. It has been three days since finding out, and my stomach is getting bigger. It’s more hard now and a little bloated, like I had too much to eat, and things are becoming real. Ario brought me to the hospital for a checkup. The doctor checked on the pup, but we can barely see anything and have no heartbeat yet.

“So, the pup is still very little, and we can’t hear its heartbeat. Maybe in a week’s time we will hear it because it’s growing rapidly; it’s already forming a shape. I guess it’s because you both are alpha, so it’s going to grow faster than a normal pregnancy,” he said.

“But we couldn’t see it,” I said. He smiled.

“I can see it; it’s still growing, but you have nothing to worry about. Its organs are still forming, and very soon you will hear its heartbeat,” he said. I nod my head.
