Maeve POV

It’s been two weeks since the pack came, and we are finally settled. It has been a very busy week, and I hardly see Ario. He comes back when I am asleep and goes before I wake up. He has been busy settling everyone in and buying furniture and other things everyone would need. My pack has been isolated from his; the only people I have seen who are from his pack are Maya and some warriors.

I wonder why he doesn’t want his pack to come here. I don’t even know if they know they are here, but obviously they have to know. The door opened, and a stressed-looking Ario came inside, removing his jacket, and then he slumped on the bed with his stomach on the bed. I smiled, dropping the book. I went to him, sitting on his lower back. He groaned, his back cracking.

“It’s been a long week, huh?” I said, giving him a neck massage. He breathed out without saying anything.
