Dinner Meeting

A soft smile appeared on her lips as she smiled lovingly seeing the venue in front of them. It was her boyfriend’s family house. A beautiful white architecture stood powerfully in front of them and looked so dominating.

Taking steps inside, they were met by a beautiful voice of …… Eloise, Aunt of Mateo. She was a beautiful brunette with black shining orbs. Beautiful tanned skin makes her look glowing in the sunlight.

She walked towards her and Evelyn was the first one to hug her. What Eloise and Evelyn had was something beautiful. Eloise was thirty-three and was happily married, also a mother of two beautiful boys.

“I missed you so much “

Eloise stated while pulling Evelyn in a sisterly manner. They always treated each other like best friends and sisters more than Evelyn treating her as Mateo’s aunt and she was not that old to be called an aunt by Evelyn.

“I missed you too “

Evelyn answered while hugging her with the same intensity as Evelyn before pulling away. Eloise hugged Evelyn’s mother before shaking her father’s hand.

“ How are you, Kylie and Kacy? “

They three had a small warm conversation before Eloise turned to Justin and smiled.

“ How's our young master? “

Justin chuckled before hugging her. They were all close to Eloise and everyone could tell just by looking at them.

“ Let's go inside. Everyone already waiting at the table “

Everyone started walking but Evelyn paused for a moment to adjust her pretty yet uncomfortable high-heeled shoe. She turned her knee and pulled her heel up to adjust it only for her to stumble. A yelp escaped her lips but an arm around her tiny snatched waist kept her from falling.

“ Careful “

That deep voice of the person rang in her ears as she lifted her eyes and was met with a pair of dark, black familiar orbs. Her eyes were stuck on him as she took in his features. His black hairs were slicked back and set perfectly, his sharp gaze was intense. His perfect straight nose and dark pink shade of lips.

He had grown more mature and became more dominant, aggressive, and powerful looking. Blinking, she realized she was staring at him. The man giving her support was none other than, the biggest CEO and known as the king of New York City, Dominic Ivanov Grey, her boyfriend’s uncle.

Quickly adjusting her heel, she stood straight before smiling politely and thanking him.

“ Thank you, Mr. Grey “

“ Dominic “

He spoke, making her look at him confused making him look back with raised eyebrows.

“ Call me by my name, Dominic “

Nodding her head, she smiled once again feeling a bit nervous under his presence. Of course, why wouldn’t she be nervous? The man next to her was Six feet 4 inches tall and was thrice the size of her while she just reached to his neck with her height and was so petite compared to him.

“ Let go “

Saying that he took her attention once again as they started walking to the dining hall where everyone was present and her family had also settled. As soon as they reached, all eyes were on us but soon, the atmosphere lightened up as she greeted everyone from her boyfriend’s family.

“ You look beautiful “

Angelina, Mateo’s mother commented before getting up to hug her. A small smile appeared on her lips as they both embraced each other. Angelina was a good-looking woman in her early forties, with blonde hair, blue eyes, and a slim figure. She was a pretty lady in her age.

“ You are looking beautiful as always, Mrs. Grey “

“ Oh sweetie “

She sat back and Evelyn greeted Mateo’s dad who smiled at her and offered her to sit on the empty seat in front of Mateo which was next to Angelina making her smile.

Her eyes met Mateo’s eyes and he gave her a wink making to smile shyly. All of a sudden, she felt a person taking a spot beside her and raised her head to see, Dominic taking a seat next to her. Not minding at all, she once again smiled out of politeness.

Her father sat next to Mateo and in front of Dominic Evelyn’s mother sat next to Eloise who was sitting next to Dominic. Everyone settled down as Angelina ordered the head maid to bring out the food and seconds later, the whole room was filled with the delicious smell of different kinds of food.

There was pasta, steak, lasagna, fruit, mashed potatoes and whatnot. Soon they were served and everyone started digging in their food. She looked at Mateo and he gave her a flirtatious smile making her smile back but she didn’t make it that obvious.

It was all silent before Mateo’s dad, Mathew started a conversation with her father.

“ Mr. Gomez, how's the preparations going for the engagement? “

She looked at her, who smiled politely, nodding his head.

“ Everything is going smoothly, according to our kids “

Evelyn’s father answered making Mathew nod his head in appreciation Evelyn bit her lower lip knowing the conversation about her engagement had started as she started feeling nervous.

“ It is just a day away “

Angelina stated, making Evelyn had a nervous feeling in her tummy making her lose her appetite as she put her utensils down.

“ Have you done any shopping? “

Angelina asked Evelyn to which she just stopped and shook her head.

“ Old dear, you haven’t shopped yet “

Eloise stated, making her smile realizing how concerned they were and smiled knowing she was gonna be a part of this happy sweet family.

“ Let's go shopping girls “

Eloise spoke making the girls smile and started getting up as they were finished with their food. Eloise, Angelina, Evelyn, Evelyn’s mother, Kylie, and Kacy got up to go shopping for her big day while the men stayed at the dining table, having their usual work-related talks.

The girls entered the mall. A couple of bouncers with them for security purposes. Eloise and Angelina were not allowed to go out without security as they belonged to a very big and powerful background which came with many enemies.

Upon entering the mall, all eyes were on them. The boys passing by, gave them flirtatious looks only for girls to ignore them. Walking into one of the luxurious brands, the females sat down, taking places on the couches before Evelyn walked into the middle of the room Eloise signaled the staff as they came rushing, holding beautiful dresses.

Evelyn widened her eyes looking at the collection of dresses and was gonna faint.

“ These are too many to try “

“ Babe it is your engagement “

Eloise winked at her and Evelyn let out a happy chuckle making her mother and Angelina smile at her happiness. They were happy for their daughter and son and prayed for a happy relationship for them.

She walked into the dressing room and changed into the first dress. It was a beautiful light green long dress with a work of embroidery done along with the beautiful design of flowers on it making her look like a princess of a kingdom.

Stepping out, she looked at her family to see their reaction only for herself to get a surprise. Her eyes widened in excitement, her pupils dilated in happiness seeing the person standing in front of her, smiling at her lovingly.
