"If I didn't have arms," I giggled, nudging him with my shoulder, "could you still love me?" I have been teasing him with these silly questions for the last hour and he's been trying so hard to not let his frustration show, though I could tell by his forced smile that he was reaching his limits.

"Why wouldn't you have arms, Delilah?" he asked, keeping a smile on his face as we walked side by side, "I'd never let anything bad happen to your arms."

I shrugged, "Well, I guess that's good to know. But what if something totally crazy happened and I woke up without any arms one day?"

He chuckled, "That's completely crazy, but if it did happen, I'd still love you just the same."

I nudged him, "Right, okay, but hypothetically speaking, if I suddenly had to go armless, would you still feel the same way?"

He stopped walking and faced me, "Of course, I would. I'd still love you no matter what. Arms or no arms, you'll always be my one and only."
