"Why does anyone need to save me?" she asked.

Alice raised his eyebrow. "You're not scared?"

"Are you a ghost?" Alisha retorted.

Alice hated this game she was playing. Despite that, he asked, "No, do I look like one?"

"You do, but even if you're, I'm not scared of you," Alisha replied. "So, no way I'm getting any fear from you."

Alice wanted to smash his head against the wall the way she was talking to him. She seemed to be the only person in the world not scared of him, despite everything he had done to her. At least if she were scared, she would learn not to spoil his mood. But here she was, making his temper rise.

"You better fear me. If you don't want me to do things that can give you more pain, better don't get on my nerves," Alice said angrily.

"I'm not sitting in your head, and please remove me from your lap too," Alisha replied.
