Vincent is studying the girl sitting across from him. He recognizes her as Scarlett D’arcy, James Swanson’s stepdaughter and the ace up his sleeve. James is an immensely proud and moralistic man which he has instilled into his stepdaughter, Scarlett.

Even though the girl is only eighteen years old, she’s already well known among the elite circles as a shrewd businesswoman and a replica of her stepfather’s genius mind. James has taught the girl well but their business is facing difficulties because of the financial crisis sweeping through the country.

“I expect you’re here to make me invest in your company,” Vincent says. “I’m afraid I’ll not be able to do so. Unless you have something to offer…”
