Chapter 1

Years ago a girl named Mabel was born with Magic, she got her gift from her grandmother when she was born. Her grandma died after Mabel was born. Mabel is the only girl born with magic, she can only make use of her magic when she is eighteen years old. Mable is now twenty years old and she can make use of her magic but she has been hiding her magic from people for years, she felt that she was an abnormal person living among the human, she is different, she felt ashamed that she was not like any other person in the world. Only her parents know about her magic. Mabel has been practicing her magic in secret and in the front of her parents. Her mum worked as a maid in the palace and her dad was a guard in the place.

The king has been sick for five years, the queen and the crown prince has been handling the kingdom.

King Alan was a wicked king, people are always scared of him, since when king Alan had been on sick bed, his son prince Brian and his wife, queen Emma and for years they had been handling the kingdom, they have been taking things easy with the people in the kingdom, the people prays for King Alan to be dead so that prince Brian can be crown king.

Mabel had never worked before and she had been jobless, she was always at home whenever her parents are at work, she thought asking her parents to get a job for her in the palace, she picked up her cellphone to called her mother.

“ Hey mum, I was thinking of coming to the palace maybe I could get a job” she said and her mum does not like that idea.

“ I don’t like the idea of you thinking of wanting to work in the palace” her mum said and Mabel was sad.

“ Mum! But why ?” She asked.

“ Your mum is a palace maid and her your dad also a palace guard and you also want to work in the palace, I don’t want that and also remember you have a magic and I know that you are stubborn and want to practice it anywhere because you don’t want to practice in secret anymore” her mum said.

“ Alright mum but I will come to the palace soon” she said and her mum saw the queen coming and she ended the call.

“ My queen” Mabel’s mum said and she bow her head.

“ You should served me wine in my room and some snacks” the queen said and Mabel’s mum nods her head, the queen left.

Mabel dressed up in a yellow gown, she walked out of the house, she entered the bus after some minutes the bus dropped her, she walked into the palace looking around smile, she was practicing her magic in secret, she was about to her enter Into the main building in the palace and the guard stopped her and she use her magic to remove the belt of his trousers and the guard trousers fell off and Mabel laughed, Mabel’s father saw her and he knew that Mabel had used her magic and he walked closer to her.

“ Mabel” her dad said.

“ Dad!” She hugged her dad, the guard quickly wear his trousers back, Mabel’s dad take her in.

“ What are you doing in the palace?” Her dad asked.

“ Well, I told mum that I wanted to come to the palace maybe I could get a job but she said, I can’t get a job here because you both worked here ” she said.

“ Your mum is right Mabel. Why did you practiced your magic earlier I thought we had an agreement on your magic that it has to be secret” her dad said.

“ Well mum, he didn’t know that I had magic or use my magic on him” she said.

“ I think you should leave” her dad said.

“ No dad, I can’t. I was thinking if you could get me a job here or still I can stay here, I am bored at home and I am tiring of using my magic alone without anyone laughing, you both always laugh whenever you are home with me, you both are only home in the weekends” she said.

“ Alright, you can stay here but promise me that you will not practice your magic here” her dad said.

“ I will try not to mum but I can’t promise, I will passed the night here” she said.

“ Alright, it’s fine” her dad said.

“ I will go to the library to read” she said and she left and went to the library.

Mabel’s mum was coming out from the queens room after she served her wine and snacks, she met with Mabel’s dad.

“ Hey! Are you ok?” She asked.

“ Yes, I am ok. Mabel is here” he said and Mabel’s mum was shocked.

“ Mabel is here? Where is she?” She asked.

“ She went to the library” he said.

“ I told her not come here. She said, she wanted to worked in the palace and I went against her idea” she said.

“ She said, she want to passed the night here” he said.

“ She can’t passed the night in the palace, Mabel is stubborn and I am sure she will practice her magic and use it on the queen and prince, I will go meet her now in the library” she said.

“ Mabel walked into the library and she saw some magical books, she took one of the magical books and she bumped on the prince, they both stare at reach other.

“ Ouch! My prince, I am sorry” she said and the prince has never met her before.

“ Who are you and what are you doing in the Royal library?” He asked.

“ Ehmmm….. I…I….I…” she said and her mum walked into the library and she saw Mabel sign the prince.

“ Mabel!” Her mum said.

“ Opps! You know her” prince Brian said.

“ Yes, my prince, I apologize for everything she had done, she is my daughter” her mum said.

“ I haven’t done anything mum” Mabel said and her mum kept her short.

“ You shouldn’t keep me short mum” she said and queen Emma walked into the Royal library.

“ Mrs Clement! What are you doing in the Royal library and who is this young lady with you?” Queen Emma asked.

“ She is my daughter and I am sure she mistakenly walked into the royal library” her mum said.

“ Humm… I see.” Queen Emma said and she saw a magical book in Mabel’s hand.

“ How do sue having a magical book with her in her hand?” Queen Emma asked and Mabel’s mum saw the magical book and she quickly took it from her.

“ Where did you take it from?” Her mum asked and Mabel pint hand and her mother returned it back to its position.

“ You should warned her that the royal library is meant only for the royals and not for the poor or commoners because next might not be her lucky day but the worst day of her life” queen Emma said.

“ I am so sorry my queen and also my prince” she said and she took Mabel out of the library.

“ You look stress mum. How is dad doing?” Prince Brian asked.

“ I don’t know, I guess getting worst day by day, the doctor said there is no remedy for his sickness, I am not ready to be a widow” queen Emma said.

“ Dad the king will be fine” prince Brian said and he hug his mum.
