Cassius’s mind reeled once he heard Rex’s declaration of crossbows being aimed in their direction, he didn’t think they would have had time to set something like that up before they closed in their position. The soldiers had accosted them as Karinna was purchasing some supplies to ask if they could travel in Rex’s company.
