It was sad that I still found it my job to keep the kitchen clean, even though I was no longer a maid here. I just got bored and decided to find something doing, which was what prompted me to come over to the kitchen and do the dishes.

"Hey" I heard a voice from behind.

I jolted in fear, then turned to see Cara moving towards me.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to--" She apologized.

"Oh, It's fine" I replied with a smile.

She drew nearer to me and without saying a word, she began assisting me.

"Thanks" I said to her.

She gave me a smile while she rolled her jacket sleeves up, then grabbed an apron from the rack.

"That's a beautiful ring" I uttered while acknowledging the beauty of the diamond ring which sat perfectly on her finger.

A smile grew on her lips as she looked at it.

"Jordan really went all the way out for the engagement" She sighed.

"I have no idea how much he spent on the ring"

"Well, you deserve it" I said to her immediately.

"Thanks a lot, Nia" She gazed into my
