CHAPTER 129: LATE NIGHT DRINKS

"Beshy?" I almost jumped in surprise at Angel's sudden call.

Nervously, I turned to her and waited to see if she was going to scold me for going against our agreement not to see or talk to Red again. "Angel..." I called her softly, as if a child asking for forgiveness for a wrongdoing.

"What are you doing here? I told you to wait for me there, right?" Angel said, sounding puzzled.

I felt a wave of relief wash over me when I realized that she hadn't seen Red. "Thank goodness..." I accidentally whispered to myself, but Angel quickly turned to me and asked, "What? Did you say something?"

"N-nothing... Let's just hurry up and finish shopping so we can go home. I'm getting a bit sleepy." I said, starting to push the shopping cart. Angel followed me, still looking confused.

"What else do we need to buy?" Angel asked as she scanned the entire grocery store. She carefully examined the items on display while she thought about what else we needed.
