As they are bantering with each other. Alice cannot help but think of the vision that she saw on the lake and the one that came to her while she was unconscious. She is also thinking about the voice that she heard mentioning something about five days. It is giving her a warning.

Alice is smart enough to know that five days from now, her vision will happen. She knew that what she saw was the event that would happen if she did not do anything about it. This is not a trivial matter and it needs urgent attention so she hurriedly told her friends about it. She doesn’t care if Fernando is there since he and Odette will get married soon and she thinks that he can help in persuading Ramon and the others to quickly form a strategy that will ensure their safety.

“See here Fernando, this is very important and I hope that you will not think that I am evil or weird.” Alice looked seriously at Fernando after telling the story.
