The witch meets her end

A week has passed and Mapula was still in the forest fasting and praying. She was only drinking water but also feeling week from lack of energy due to not eating for days. Today was Wednesday which marks a week of her sleeping in the woods, on a towel, and not eating. The witch never showed up but on the second day she heard sounds of hyenas, they sounded close but Ngwedi her guardian was on the lookout so she had nothing to fear.

But the hyenas came back every night after that like they were coming to check if she was still there, which was weird but who can predict wild animals and their behavior. Her phone had long died and she didn’t know how she was going to contact her driver to pick her up when the time comes. “Tired of praying yet?” sounded a voice and
