Chapter 54
CAIN POV
I carry her to the bathroom and sit her down on the basin counter before running a warm bath for her.
She looks to be lost in a trance, her expressions sour.
After preparing the bath, I come forward to pick her up when she shrinks away, sudden fear shining in her eyes.
I grit my teeth and pull my arms down before stripping myself off my pants and boxers.
Standing completely toward her, I step forward again. No matter how much she tries to resist, I get rid of my shirt that she is wearing.
After stripping her naked, I hoist her up and land her on her feet beside the bathtub.
I step inside first and sit down in the tub as she watches me with her fear filled eyes.
Lifting my hand, I ask for her hand silently and understanding the gesture, she places her hand in mine.
I help her in the bath. She sits down between my legs, her muscles stiff and her body shrinking.
