CHAPTER FORTY-FOUR : AS IT IS

Deucalion sat on a balcony and took a puff from his smoking tube, his meeting with Lucius had left him unsettled and he was just beginning to realise that Lucius and the Crimson Moon pack may pose a much bigger threat than he initially anticipated. He gazed into the busy streets of the capital and for the first time in ages he felt something he had forgotten existed : Anxiety.

Hyperion walked into the room and walked into the balcony and after looking at Deucalion for a while he let outa sigh.

"You talked to him, didn't you?", Hyperion begun.

"I needed to see for myself", Deucalion replied with a flustered look on his face.

"And what did you conclude?", Hyperion asked.

"He subconsciously resisted my attempts to suppress his mind", Deucalion said. "That shouldn't be possible unless....."

"...He somehow is a progenitor", Hyperion replied completing Deucalion's words affirming that they were both thinking the same thing. "The bad news keeps on coming"

"What else?", Deucalion replied.
