CHAPTER HUNDRED AND FORTY-THREE : BEHIND ENEMY LINES

Alpha Magnus and Asher followed the trail from the descriptions the had, it led to them to a plain that was filled with lush vegetation and no trees.

“This is quite the view", Asher said as he walked along and absorbed the scenery.

“Well, I’m not sure why we are here but we need to make sure that this isn’t a mistake”, Alpha Magnus replied.

“You think that there could be something else, maybe like an ambush??”, Inquired Asher.

“Things have been off for the past couple of months, its almost like there is someone that has carefully planned for the events that unfolded", Alpha Magnus replied. “That is the real enemy, one that has made pawns of all of us and still continues to do so"

Asher nodded his head as the walked along the grassy plain. They scanned around for any signs of black thorn and/or his wolves.

"Can you smell that?", Alpha Magnus asked Asher as they walked on.

"It may be faint but I can smell the remnants of adrenaline and struggle. There was definitely a battle that occur
