CHAPTER HUNDRED AND FORTY : TIME SKIP

Weeks had passed and things remained calm, too calm and it made the members of the Crimson Pack anxious. Seraphina had left to rendezvous with Hyperion and Cersei and some of the mages had left with them.

Asher had gone on a tracking mission with Alpha Magnus to recover the supposed remains of Black Bourne and no one had heard from them in days but it was expected as the pack had agreed not to break silence by communicating with one another until they returned.

So they had no way of knowing if Alpha Magnus and Asher had found their targets or not. What begun as a whiff of anxiety was slowly morphing into worry as time dragged on.

Lucius was standing in front of the mirror, tugging at the collar of his shirt with a grimace.

"Are you okay?" Rey asked.

"Yes." He replied, turning around to face her. "But I'm nervous."

"Why?"

"We are spread too thin, the fact that the Lycans aren't trying to make a move is even more terrifying. It means they know exactly how much they can get away with." H
