CHAPTER SIXTY-FIVE : CREEPING STEM

The pack spent the next few days exploring the forgotten ruins searching for clues.

"This is a dead end", Luna complained.

"Maybe it is", Camilla agreed. "We already know that there are traces of black magic here but we have made no further breakthroughs"

"I disagree", Lucius said. "Maybe we are looking wrongly"

"What do you mean?", Luna asked.

"Maybe we should widen our scope, the castle and the other sectors", Lucius said.

After a day of secretly moving around the other sectors, the group reconvened to discuss their findings.

"There are symbols around the city", Rey begun.

"We noticed them too. The self consuming serpent", Camilla said as she used her fingers to draw the symbol on the Sand.

"Maybe this means that the Serpents have always been here. Regular people who have committed their heart's to black magic", Lucius said.

"I and Luna have decided to return to the Volk ruins, we need time alone there. Mother spoke of certain things there so we want to see for ourselves", Rey said.
