Chapter Twenty Five

Andrew followed me to his car, and we drove to his doctor's office.

"Mr. Andrews, I'm Dr. Duarte," the doctor greeted us.

"I know who you are," Andrew replied.

"Let's go sit down, Mr. Andrews," he said. "I need to talk to you about your test results."

Once we were seated, the doctor examined Andrew. He then grabbed a pen and paper and began taking notes.

"Since you're here, I assume you know what you're dealing with?" he asked.

"Yes, we do," Andrew replied. "I have cancer."

"I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you," Dr. Duarte said. "I'm going to write you a prescription, and we'll go over the details of the treatment plan."

"Can I bring my wife along?" Andrew asked.

"Of course," the doctor replied. "I'm sure it would be helpful for her to understand what we're talking about."

He wrote the prescription, and the three of us left the office.

"Do you want to stop by the pharmacy before going home?" I asked.

"Yes, I would," Andrew replied.

We went to the closest store and picke
