"Good morning, dear wife! What have you been doing that you couldn't answer my calls?" I sense the sarcasm in Gael's voice as soon as I pick up the phone.

"Hmm, with my husband away, I've had more time for sleeping!" I grumble, trying to keep my voice as natural and playful as possible. He laughs on the other end of the line.

"I can't believe you're sleeping the entire day, Mrs. D'Angelo!"

"Oh, of course not! I've also been spending some time in the library studying. You know how I am."

"Yes, I know. And I admire that about you!"

"Hmm! Thank you, Mr. D'Angelo, that's coming from you is a compliment!" I tease.

"But it is a compliment!" He protests with humor. Humor. I'll miss that.

"How's your work going over there?" I decide to change the subject.

"As I expected, boring! I should have brought you with me; at least I would have some fun hours every time I returned to the hotel suite," he says, making me laugh again. The worst part is knowing that I desire him much more than
