Chapter 27. Drying Hair

Stella closed her eyes as their noses touched, and Marvin had closed his too. Their lips finally met. Shortly after, Marvin pulled back and looked at Stella. His heart raced as he gazed at her face.

"W-We're still in the water, we'll catch a cold if we stay in the water like this late at night," Stella said nervously.

Marvin didn't reply, only nodded. He gently lifted Stella and sat her on the pool's edge so she could get out easily.

Stella reached out to help Marvin get out of the water.

"You'll fall if you help me get out. My body is bigger than yours," Marvin said. "We'll both end up back in the water again."

Stella pouted, retracting her hand. "Next time, don't startle me like that! We're getting all wet in the middle of the night."

Stella looked around and noticed a small cabinet not far from the pool. There were several towels inside. She grabbed one and walked over to where Marvin had already surfaced.

"I did tell you I like bothering you," Marvin said, smiling.
