Elena's thumb tapped her phone screen off, but it didn't help matters. Liam had already seen what he needed to see and was ready to rain the bullets.

"You're going to meet a man already?" Liam thundered. "On your first night of marriage?"

The banging in Elena's head picked up a notch. Her energy was quickly dissipating. Where did the damn message say she was going out to meet a man that night? She decided to ignore Liam. Ignore the pain, they said, and it will go away.
