27. Her mother

I smiled all through the ride. I was happy that I would see my parents after a long time. It felt like decades since I have last seen them.

I miss them so much. I never thought being away from them would hurt this much.

The moment I stepped my feet into the mansion, I heaved a sigh of relief. I have been excited all through the ride that I couldn't contain my excitement.

I was too eager to see my parents.

"Sophia."

I heard my mother call the moment I entered the living room. She got up from her she was seated to meet me halfway and I rushed to meet her so that I could hug her.

My mother gave me the best hug.

"Mother," I called, heaving a sigh of relief now that I was in her arms.

I have missed her so much. It felt as if she was the oxygen I needed to breathe. I have never thought I would be able to feel this much alive after I began to stay with Adrian.

"I've missed you so much Sophia," my mother said, hugging me tightly.

"I've missed you too mother," I cried into her
