Vincenzo's POV After two days, the doctor finally deemed Roseline well enough to be discharged. Her situation is very serious and I have to tell the doctor that she doesn't have any siblings so he recommended that we register at a bone marrow registry, indicating that it could potentially be a lifeline in her situation. Since then, I have been waiting for the good news that we have found a suitable donor. I have brought her back home and have appointed two nurses to provide round-the-clock care. Though the doctor said that she is fine for now, I cannot take any risk. Certain matters required my attention, and in my absence, I couldn't entrust them to anyone else. Roseline's friends visited her at the hospital during her stay, though I couldn't help but notice Liam's less-than-pleased expression. It was evident that he held some resentment, perhaps thinking that I was responsible for her condition. "Vincenzo, you should head to work now," Roseline's voice interrupted my thoughts.
Vincenzo's POV"I need the spare keys for room number 113," I demanded from the receptionist."The room is currently booked," he replied hesitantly."Yes, I am aware that the room is booked and this is why I need those keys urgently, right now," I insisted, my tone firm."But, sir...""Get me the manager," I interrupted, growing impatient with the situation. I don't think he is going to listen to me and I would actually end up taking his job. The color of his face drained as he couldn't understand what was happening around him. Without giving him time, I just barged into the cabin of the manager while he ran behind me. The manager looked at me; his eyes widened in surprise as he stood up. "Sir..." he began, only for me to cut him off."I need the spare keys for room number 113 immediately," I exclaimed, my urgency evident."Of course, sir," he complied, his expression showing a mix of surprise and apprehension. He pulled out the drawer and handed me the keys personally."Do you want
Vincenzo's POV As soon as I got back to my car, I called the nurse who was taking care of Roseline. "How is she?" I asked her as she picked up the call. "She is still sleeping," she told me. "Ok, close all the doors and windows of the room I don't want the voice from outside to bother her sleep," I ordered her. "Ok, sir" I hang up. I am sure the storm is going to take place in the hall when I see Kevin but I don't want her to get hurt anymore. My grip on the steering wheel tightened as I thought more about Kevin. I have always tried to keep my anger in control because I don't know what would do if I lost it. As I reached the house, I didn't care to park the car and went directly inside the house. There, I found Kevin comfortably seated on the couch, as usual, engrossed in playing a video game, shouting and squealing in joy after creating havoc in my life. He plays games all day and wants to be among the top entrepreneurs. After looking at him, I couldn't control m
I punched him once again but he again snapped his face to meet my gaze, resilient and ready to take another blow without any hesitation. He wasn't ready to show the pain that I was inflicting on him. "Don't you even think about her in that way," I growled, my voice laden with a deadly warning. "Why?" He asked with a smirk, defiantly wiping away the blood from his split lip "Aren't you two going to separate after a few months?" Now I was a bit surprised to know that "Isn't your Marriage a contract?" It was a sort of question that he asked but it came out as if he was reminding me about the truth of my marriage. How did he come to know about it? Has Roseline told him? "I saw the marriage contract papers in your drawer when I went to retrieve the file about Rose from your study," he said to clear my doubt. "Whatever the reality of our relationship may be, it's our private matter. You, Kevin, need to stay away from her," I asserted with a stern tone, my patience wearing thin.
Vincenzo's POV I got the ring and decided to give it back to Roseline. The words from Kevin were still ringing in my head. The question of whom I loved more, Rose or Roseline, lingered like a heavy cloud over my thoughts. I knew deep down that I didn't love Roseline, yet when that stripper introduced herself as my Rose, my immediate thought was of her. It was undeniable that I had developed a soft spot for Roseline. Her kindness, her efforts to care for me, and her genuine concern for my well-being had left an imprint on my heart. I couldn't bear to witness her pain or suffering. Perhaps it was these actions that had unknowingly created a connection between us, one that went beyond the contract we had entered into. I can't see her hurt or in pain. I think this is because of the things she has done for me. And I am sure that she also has started feeling something for me but the fact that I love Rose is holding her back. The thing that is scaring me the most is that I am not sur
Roseline's POV It's been a week since that incident, and I've fully recovered. Vincenzo insisted that I study from home, and I haven't stepped out of the house since then. I'm not complaining, though. I've noticed that I start feeling weak and tired if I exert myself for more than thirty minutes. I'm planning to schedule a medical checkup to determine the reason for this sudden fatigue. I haven't seen Kevin at home lately. Vincenzo informed me that he's gone out of town for some urgent work. With Grandpa back from his trip, it seems like Kevin won't be staying with us anymore. I miss his company. I was getting bored so I decided to scroll down the mobile when I suddenly came across a video where a girl was wearing short clothes, seducing her partner. I couldn't stop myself from clicking on the video and I had to make sure that Vincenzo was not coming out of his study while I watched the video. The way the man was touching her turned me on immediately and it reminded me of Vincen
Roseline's POV "Yeah, I will be there in half an hour," Vincenzo said over the call. He was leaving for his office, which meant I'd be alone at home again. It had been days since I last stepped out of the house. Today, Liam and Emma were at an orphanage, and I desperately wanted to visit them but I was not sure if Vincenzo would allow me or not. "Do you want something?" he asked, noticing my hesitation. "Yes," I nodded quickly, seizing the opportunity. "What?" He tilted his head as he adjusted his tie. "Could you please drop me off at the orphanage?" He blinked at me, seemingly pondering it. A minute-long silence hung between us, making me fear that he would say no. "Okay," he finally said with a subtle nod. Yayy! I squealed and he took out his phone from his pocket to call someone. "Cancel the meeting; I am not coming today." What? "But why?" I asked as he hung up. "Because I am coming with you," he said as he tucked the phone into his pocket "There is no need fo
Vincenzo's POV From the day we signed the contract, I knew about her birthday. I never thought of celebrating it but in the last few days, she has come so close to me that I wanted to give her all the happiness that she deserves. I knew that her happiness lay in the smiles of the orphanage, and nothing could make her happier than distributing gifts to the kids and celebrating her day with them. I was just pretending to be busy and was about to drop her off at the orphanage but she insisted on joining me and I could never say no to her puppy face. I thought that Sister Mary would not reveal everything to her but she did. I didn't want to take the credit. It was the first time that I did something like that for someone and the happiness on her face was worth everything. I was ready to do it daily if it was going to make her so happy. I was enjoying her dancing moves when the kids forced me to dance with them as well. Earlier, I was scared that they would not accept me and t
