Ethan's POV

I worked in the office when a text came into my phone, it beeped severally and I left what I was doing to take a look at the screen.

"On our way, Boss."

It was Matthew's text. I got up to peep at the window to see if they had arrived already but they hadn't. I sat down on my seat again to continue with my work, attending to files and wondering what must have happened, for Matthew to send an urgent text, in broad daylight.

I was too impatient and tried reaching out to Matthew to ask what had happened when he declined my call, sending a text, "on the wheel, boss," it read and I remembered it was Matthew that rode the car almost every time. I thought of sending a text to James and the tiny being that lives in me screamed at me to wait and they would arrive just sooner than I am expecting.

It took two hours for the men to arrive at my office, they must have gone to some other place before heading to the office, two hours was way too long for an ordinary trip from Matthew
