Chapter 21

Sam stood waiting for Cannon at the entrance of the office building as he saw Cannon's car entering.

Taking him by surprise, Elaine got out of the passenger seat in no moment after the car had just stopped. She seemed to be trying to calm herself. Cannon sat inside glaring at her before getting out of the driving seat.

I am not a quitter, Cannon.

With this thought, Elaine turned to Cannon.

His expression turned to be a confused one as Elaine gave him a smile being all normal, "I am fine."

Not just normal, her face was expressing some strange happiness.

Shrugging off, Cannon walked towards the entrance of the office building.

Sam wondered the reason behind Elaine's strange behaviour till Cannon reached him.

Elaine smiled a little at Sam, "Good morning." and then walked past them.

What's the matter with her actually? Sam thought to himself before facing Cannon.

"Have you ever thought why Elaine isn't leaving you?" Sam asked Cannon involuntarily when he found Cannon staring at Elaine's
