Lucy's pov;

I texted Tyler that I was leaving for home and walked out of the hospital. Someone tapped on my shoulder as I walked to the bus terminal, forcing me to look at them. When I did, it was Ivan. I ignored him and kept walking down the street. "Where are your bodyguards?" He teased me and asked, "What's the progress on the work I gave you?" he asked when I didn't respond. "Did you come across anything?"

I sighed and said, "Just leave me alone for a little while."

"If now is not the appropriate time to discuss it, when should we discuss it? When are you going to be free?"

"I believe it's time to call it a day here."

He grabbed my hand and forced me to look at him, asking sternly, "What did you mean by that?"

"I'm really perplexed right now. I have no idea what I'm doing or what to do. I feel as if I'm lost somewhere."

"Lucy..."

"I don't want to do this any longer. I couldn't take the guilt any longer. I don't want to deceive Tyler any longer. I no longer want to work for you.
