Chapter 95

Lucy's pov:

The waves crashed into the beach, splashing white water everywhere, as if to prove how powerful they were. As I was watching them, I felt myself being pulled down by a surge of memories.

They weren't exactly memories, but they weren't exactly not memories either. They were like...a puzzle piece you find when you're playing video games and realise that it's missing part of the picture. I could feel the pieces in front of me, but I wasn't able to put the whole picture together with the pieces that I had yet. That is to say, I still wasn't entirely certain what my 'piece' was meant to be. It didn't make sense, though. Not even a bit. My life was pretty confusing to be honest.

So many questions unanswered, so many problems looming over my head. But I wanted this feeling to stop. For one day at least. Even for just one second. This strange feeling that I just couldn't shake off, no matter how hard I tried. And the longer it stayed there, the more uncomfortable it made me
