“How do you see the food? Nice right?” Vanessa asked with a mouth full of chicken

But looked like Alex’s mind wasn’t anywhere close. He was completely lost in thoughts about Lucy

He kept on wondering what Nelia possibly wanted to tell him. And the thought of it made him a little restless

He looked up at Vanessa who was busily having her meal and stretched out his hand “give the phone to me”

Vanessa’s brightened face gradually became gloomy with anxiety. She knows very well Alex might call Nelia again to find out what had actually happened if she returns the phone back to him

She made a sly fake smile and retorted “for what? Besides you haven’t even touched your food. Let’s finish eating and I’ll return the phone back to you”

“I need to talk to my assistant. I’ll eat after that” Alex replied softly and took the phone from Vanessa’s hand even though she was very reluctant to give it to him
