Chapter 8

In the evening, I organized the whole room before he could come so it wouldn't bring a scowl on his face.

Everything aside, I could understand he returned exhausted and judging his behavior, it would infuriate him to find his things out of their way so as an act of kindness, I did it.

Humming to myself, I was using my phone, waiting for him and the second he entered, I put my phone down immediately, rushing to his side.

“Oh, you are back. Welcome home.” I greeted with a smile which brought bewilderment on his face.

“You look awfully excited to see me in one day.” He mumbled, scanning me with stress, placing his bag to the correct position, checking the room as well.

“You cannot imagine the deadly silence of this place. How did you manage living here alone?” I whined, going after him, noticing the sigh which escaped his lips when he saw the neat room.

“I am accustomed to it.” He shrugged calmly, back facing me.
