The crowd stopped in their tracks.

Henry froze. From what he had noticed earlier, Colt and Charlotte would look toward the man and ask for permission before speaking. Obviously, the man’s status was entirely different and much higher than the Quinns. He could not afford to offend him.

A drop of cold sweat fell from Henry’s forehead. “I don’t think I get what you mean.”

“You don’t get it?” Colt gave Gerald a quick glance and scoffed.

“Mr. Henry, didn’t you insist just now that Ms. North and Mr. Paul were fooling around, and you wanted to teach Ms. North a lesson?”

“I—”

Colt went on and cut Henry off. “Mr. Henry, I’m not sure why you thought Mr. Paul was in the room. Wouldn’t Ms. North have to endure injustice if we weren’t here today?”

Subconsciously, Henry turned to look at Linda, and the crowd immediately turned to look at her as well.
