"And there you were, bragging as the mafia boss' wife. It backfired, didn't it?" Keisha, who recovered from the impact, woke up to the doctor's foul words. The smug look on Elaine's face, while she was checking Keisha's well-being was enough to cause a headache. The night was a blur right after the incident.

"Your touch must've been too disgusting for him," Elaine added in a whisper, like a knife to Keisha's throat. She only woke up a minute ago and she feels so attacked. "Really? That's not how he felt at our wedding night," Keisha said in quick wit and the woman's smirk was wiped away.

Keisha stood up from the bed and started walking away. "You need to stay in bed, Keisha," the doctor warned but received a scoff instead.

Keisha turned her head and glared at her before walking off. "Insult me again and you'll be on that bed next time around," she declared before waving goodbye to Elaine.
