Dark-black room

When Nora got conscious, she noticed that her hands were tied to the back of an iron chair in which she sat.

She made an effort to struggle, but soon realised that it was useless.

Nora raised her face to look at the place she was in. She couldn't make-out a thing since the room was dark-black. Her eyes quickly adjusted to the darkness, and she closed them for a second.

She has been caught!

For the first time in Nora's life, she felt really afraid. Though she couldn't see a thing, she could tell a window in the room was open as a result of the breeze that caressed her skin.

Nora felt tears trickle down her face. So this was how it felt to know you're close to your death?

She felt some strange type of cold, and knew it wasn't from the breeze. The room smelt of sour ginger, but it was also oddly comforting—like a chicken locked up in an air-conditioned room right after being told that it was going to die ten minutes later.

At least she wasn't dead yet, which was probably a good
