Everything was going well until the afternoon came when Janice began to feel pain in her lower belly.Panicked, she waddled to the calendar she had placed at her side of the bed when she moved into the room with Jules. She creased her brows, glancing at it.Janice rubbed her tummy as the pain intensified. And then she groaned, doubling over. It was worse than the last time she had thought she was bleeding to death. At least she knew it was normal then because the doctor had been called almost immediately. However, she didn't know the matter because she would not be due until three months. It felt like the baby was trying to tear itself out of her body. "Jules!" She groaned, panting. Janice clenched the nightstand as her vision blurred. She attempted to blink the haziness from her eyes, but it was useless. Her heart and head began to pound, and the pain didn't stop. Rather, it became worse. Janice winced as she came awake. She rolled to her side and noticed Jules was at the other side of the room with a notebook in his hand. She recognised the book instantly because it was part of the books the doctor had given her to read about childbirth. Janice moaned as she attempted to lift herself to a sitting position. Jules's eyes flitted to her when he heard her moan, and he stood from the chair he had been on for almost two hours since she was out. "How are you feeling?" "I feel like I just ate something sour." Even when she began suffering from morning sickness the first time, she had thought it was the flu she was suffering from until Jules forced her to go to the doctor. It was noon when she awoke again. The fever became worse than earlier and she could barely lift her hands or any part of her body. Her taste bud was bitter and nausea danced around in her throat. She winced whilst attempting to shield the light that was streaming into the room from the opened window with her hand. Her body trembled, then she tugged the blanket she barely used when she was healthy to cover herself up to her chin. She wondered if this was how she often felt whenever she had a fever. But, she couldn't remember the last time she had been this ill. Nevertheless, she was aware she hadn't been this worse and down with fever.
