41. The truth

Violet POV.

It was rare for Xander's manor to be crowded with folks like tonight. Usually in a manor of this size it was so quiet with so few people living. Plus the owner himself is rarely at home.

But tonight the it was bustling. Not too much actually. Only his close friends. But it's still better to have them than the two of us alone.

Did they also gather like this often before?

They were chatting in the parlor when I arrived. Nicholas was the first to stand up, I noticed Xander protective gaze on me when his friend grabbed my palms

"well I heard you fell during training?" he looked glad to hear me fall. I thought he would sympathize first "So how far has your training gone hm? I heard Lily made you go around the forest area?"

I glanced at Lily she sat on the sofa and took a sip of red wine. She smiled and winked at me "she did"

"So are you still hurt? You should rest and don't need to come down first"

"I'm fine. Azura gave me the magic potion and elixir."
