I can honestly say I have the best readers! Thank you for always giving my books and characters a chance! Tilly was one of a kind and writing her story was one of the best times I’ve had writing. Her sass and emotional growth journey were so special to me!
I hope you will hit the follow button in the app so you can get a notice when I get my next book up an going! All four of these authors have fun and original ideas that always blow me away.Join my group online called Miri’s Shifter Cafe for updates on my work, more about me and characters! (I can’t name where the group is but it starts with “Face” and ends with “book”)Until the next journey, all my love <3Miri Googag~Tilly POV~“Matilda May. Third born of the top warriors in the pack, Greta and Harold, is cordially requested to train at the Warriors Elite at the bidding of Alpha Jeremiah of the Cursed Moon Pack.” My younger brother, Beckham, reads aloud in awe. He pauses for dramatic effect and I groan, covering my head with the blanket on my bed.“She is to report to the main road with only one piece of luggage, no later than ten the night of June sixth. If Ms. May is late, we will retrieve her, willing or not, to fulfill her duty to her pack and the whole of the werewolf cities collaborations,” he continues, his expressive voice growing more grim with every line.My life hasn’t been terrible. Honestly, it’s pretty okay. I have absent parents I disappoint on a daily basis, but my best friend is killer and my younger brother is the sweetest person ever. My two older brothers are assholes, but that’s not reserved exclusively for me. That’s just their personality trait. I’m about eighty percent sur
Chapter 2:The rogue stares at me for a long second before surging forward. I squeal in fear as I narrowly dodge his clawing hands. The man growls in annoyance as I move around the kitchen table, doing my best to keep the large wooden furniture between us. Beckham moves to make his way to me but the other man jumps in front of him, blocking not only his way but my view.-Rogue attack!- I shoot through the mind link to anyone who will listen and hope someone comes to aid us.I am useless as the guy wanting to kill me tosses the table to the side and makes his way to me. I sprint toward the asshole who has his hand on my baby brother’s neck as he pummels Beckham in the face. In fury, I drop my shoulder and throw my whole body into the man’s spine, relishing the yelp of pain it elicits. My victory is short-lived when the guy I had been running from yanks me back by my ponytail. He then takes hold of my throat and lifts me into the air, holding me up high. I gasp for air, clawing at his
“Til…” Anna’s voice whispers, a gentle shaking on my upper arm. “Mmm?” I groan as I stretch and ease my chair back up.“We are here. You feeling okay enough to hop out?” She asks me gently. “Yeah, yeah. I’m good.” I open my eyelids, resisting the urge to groan in frustration, my eyes still unwilling to do what I want them to. Which seems like a simple enough task. Is it hard to want them to just freaking work? Anna must sense my annoyance as she takes my hand and gives it a gentle squeeze. “It’s only been a few hours. It could take a few days to fully come back. Be patient.” She mutters as I hear the click of her door opening and her warm hand leaves mine. Muffled voices talk to my right and with a shaky breath, I fumble for the handle and push the door open. My fingers lightly trace the window to the top of the car door as I stand and hold on. Shit, my legs are wobbly and my back stiff as a board. “Shit, sorry alpha.” A gruff, sleepy voice says. “I forgot to mention that I gave t
I have no idea what an ungodly hour it is when Anna wakes me up and throws clothes at my face. Not that it matters when you are struggling to see again every time of day looks and feels the same. Shit, I’m just perpetually tired of being in this never ending darkness.“What time is it?” I ask, feeling around the bra in my hands to make sure I put it on right. “Time for training.” She says. “Oh, good, so it’s early as shit and no one will even notice if I sleep through the speech. I am certain we will get in the beginning.”Anna sighs heavily, intentionally trying to make it so I can hear her disapproval of that plan of mine. Her lithe feet pad across the room and I feel her hands tangling in my hair as she throws up my unruly mess into a bun. “I can do my hair.” I grumble and she snorts. “You could hardly do it when you had your eyesight.” “Rude.” I mumble, refusing to admit she is completely right. “Speaking of rude…” her tone changes and I know I am about to get her alpha tone
*Onyx POV*Tic glowers at Bill, who seems completely unphased by the heat directed his way. Not that he ever is. In fact, it takes a lot to get to Bill. Unless you are a blind girl with a smart mouth, it would seem. He lasted only thirty minutes with the smart mouthed woman named Tilly. Now Tic and I get to be graced with his shitty attitude for the duration of this meeting.Day one of training is over, as is customary. We are dividing the fighters up based on capabilities. There are zero surprises in who the top five are. Anna, Harriet, Flint, Peter and Lux. All five have excellent form, powerful strikes and their own style. Of those five, only two are humble. Anna and Flint.I understand Flint’s humility. He comes from a lower-ranking family in a large pack. There is no doubt that he got his skill from nothing other than hard work and dedication. Anna, however, is a natural and has every right to be a cocky warrior. Yet, she is considerate and quiet when she fights. She weighs her o
“Listen,” I instruct Tilly as we stand just within the confines of the woods. “Can you tell where we are?”“We are near the woods?” She responds. I look around and feel a sliver of defeat. Near the woods? Trees and wild woodland creatures engulf us. The best she can give me is a guess?“Near or in the woods?” I push, needing her to really try. “In the woods, I suppose. I mean, I can hear animals all around me,” she responds with a shrug. Tilly’s nose crinkles in thought and a smile finds my lips as I try to focus on the task at hand and fail. Her face is a map of tiny little imperfections. Each freckle, every wrinkle when she moves her lips seems to make me like her more, each one a reason I should take another risk for the first time in my life.“So, what now? I just stand and listen to animals for the next eight hours?” She asks with a frustrated huff. I chuckle, stepping close to her and lean down, my nose brushing her earlobe.“Now we train.” I whisper huskily before moving away,
*Tilly POV* “Wait…so when did your eyesight come back?” Anna asks me excitedly, and I groan in frustration. “It’s not back, Anna. I can see specks of light and the occasional dark blob.” I insist, walking alongside her toward the training center. As if on cue, my feet collide with something and I stumble forward. Anna grabs my biceps and steadies me. “Watch where you are going,” an angry voice shouts, and Anna’s grip grows tighter on my arm. “You’re the one with working eyes, asshole. How about you use them instead of blaming the blind girl?” “Maybe she shouldn’t be in the way.” A feminine voice says. Anna and I don’t have a second to respond when there is a heavy sigh and everyone falls silent. “Cassie, you’re being a catty bitch for no reason. If you spent more time training and less time being jealous about who the Alpha spends time with, you might actually improve.” Another voice cuts in. Anna’s clinging to my arm and I can only assume she is wearing her excited face. The
“What the hell!” I squeal out as my knee glances off a rock on the way down. My cheek bounces off the dust covered ground and I groan in frustration and pain. I can sense someone is there, watching me, but no one speaks or offers me aid, so I push myself up. A foot presses in the center of my back, pushing me down to the ground again, this time pinning me. I can feel the vibrations of feet coming toward me, multiple sets just before the kicks land. One after another raining down on my body as I try like hell to fight against the foot holding me flat. My instincts are screaming at me to protect my vital organs. Curl into a damn ball, anything to lessen the places they can hurt me. My arms fly over my head as the tears fall, wetting the ground beneath my cheek as I accept that there is nothing I can do.I steel my resolve, promising not to cry out loud or make a peep. There is no way in hell I will allow them that satisfaction. My body jolts with every blow, each hit taking me further
