Chapter twenty six

HEATHER:

I felt a deep headache and grabbed onto the tip of my gown. I was late for my appointment with the doctor already.

"I'm so sorry, could you drop me at the next junction? I need to get something."

I told Derek.

I had been looking for a way to step out of the car so I could hurry to the hospital as soon as possible without him being suspicious of me.

"Okay." He uttered. I just had to hold on for a few minutes.

The car halted, and in a hurry, I picked up my bag, and stepped out of the car,

"Please don't wait for me. My house is just down there, I'll be fine on my own. Thank you."

"Alright, as you wish."

Thankfully, he had agreed easily, and I was happy about it. He whined the glass back up and drove away while I waited till he was gone. As soon as I was certain the car was far out of sight, I hurriedly halted a cab, and got in,

"Gracehills hospital, please. Hurry." I told the can driver, and he ignited the engine immediately.
