Ace's POV

Alexa's painful screams echoed across the corridor. I paced around, running my hands through my hair out of frustration. Alexa has been in labor for the past one hour. I had brought the best midwives from different packs hoping that would help her deliver faster and easier, but her cries and screams told me otherwise.

A midwife runs out of the room with her hands covered in blood. I started to panic out of fear.

“Alpha, we need more hot water and towels,” she said hurriedly. I quickly turn around to the maids behind me.

“You heard what she said, get it right away!” I bark at them and they scurry away. The midwife tries to go back in, but I step in front of her.

“What is going on? Is she okay?” I asked worriedly.

“We can't say for now Alpha, the matter is complicated, but we will try our best to make sure the mother and child are okay,” she said.
