The Eyes Don't Lie

*Gael's POV***

The moment I arrived in the hall, I felt terribly nervous. I mean, this isn't supposed to be an event for me to feel this way, since I used to be a reporter. But after being in hiding for more than a year, I can't help but feel a little nervous.

Just then, I noticed quick footsteps behind me. As if I were compelled to, I quickly turned around, only to see Turstin behind me. He flashed me a broad smile, which I couldn't help but melt over.

“Gael, you came. Now you've made me complete. Come with me, let's have a seat,” he said, stretching out his hands towards me. I looked around once more to see if there was, anyone looking in our direction, but so far, no one paid us any mind.

I slowly stretched my hands towards him, which he took and slowly led me to a seat. It was a free area, which wasn't infested by guests.

Turstin sat opposite me, and I presume he did that so he could see me clearly.
