Chapter Forty Three

ARIA POV

His words crushed me even though I didn't want to show it. How could he think I was the one who threw the party when I was sick in the hospital?

"I think you are mistaken about another thing again. I didn't throw that party if you remember, I was in the hospital!" I shouted at him, I had lost control of my emotions and my hurt was clearly showing on my face.

Well, I wasn't the only one, Marcus in turn showed the true nature of his anger towards me in his eyes and I had to gulp hard and avert my gaze from him because it seemed like it would swallow me.

"That doesn't mean you have nothing to do with it." He retaliated.

I took a deep breath to calm myself. I could feel the tears welling up my eyes but I tried to compose myself and not let them out no matter what.

"Look, I never wanted him to die nor did I want to throw that party," I said after I was sure and trusted myself that my voice wouldn't crack or get emotional again.
