I had barely processed the fact that Killian was right there with us on the cliff when I felt myself being snatched out of Vincent's arms. Panic immediately set in and a cry escaped my lips as I reached out for Vincent who was also reaching out for me. A thick dark fog wrapped itself around me and kept me trapped in mid air. Vincent tried to move towards me but it appeared that he couldn't move. There was some kind of invisible barrier keeping him away from me. Killian stood there dressed in black. His hands were buried in the pockets of his pants as he stared at Vincent with mockery in his dark eyes.

"I'll like to see you try to save her," he drawled as my mate continued to battle with the invisible barrier.

"Let her go, you bastard!" My mate yelled. His eyes had turned red and he was desperate. It was written all over him.
