Akira's Point Of View

"How is she?" I asked Yamo, the physician that has been tending to Alexa all week.

"She is stable." He replied with his full attention on the needle he was inserting at her collar bone.

"I don't want stable. Tell me if she'll wake up soon."

He sighed tiredly and faced me. He looked frustrated. "If I knew that, I wouldn't be feeling as frustrated as I am. Your impatience is adding to my frustration and I've had it up to here."

I pulled him up by the collar and raised my fist to hit him but mother's yell stopped me.

I turned to her furiously with blazing eyes.

"Let the man go." She said calmly but authoritatively. I pushed Yamo back to the chair roughly and dusted my shirt. She took graceful steps to Alexa's bed and turned to Yamo.
