Chapter 36

From Alessia's POV

Telling Daunte that I love him and hearing him say it back was the most beautiful moment of my life. I felt a rush of emotion I had never experienced before. I looked into his eyes and felt a sense of peace and happiness like I had never felt. The moment the words left my mouth, I knew I had found the person I wanted to build a life with.

There was just one more thing I needed to take care of, and for that, I needed to talk to Sara.

Gazing into Daunte's eyes, I whispered, "I need to talk to Sara, but I'll be right back," I told him as I kissed his cheek and hurried out of the room.

I needed to ask her about my memory loss. It made no sense why I had no recollection of anything except certain aspects of my life. As I descended the stairs, I hurried to the living room and found Sara reading a book.

"Sara?" I called her name as I walked over and sat on the sofa beside her. She looked up and smiled. "Hi, what's up?" she asked.

"I need to talk to you," I said.
