Betrayal - Part II

“…I heard he is back?” A warrior asked and the other one nodded.

“You heard right. I just escorted him to his residence.”

“Are they…?” I looked up at Anxo and he nodded, “He returned a few hours ago.” Anxo said in a monotonous voice, and I nodded. All kinds of thoughts started playing in my head as I started to walk.

The conversation and the things she told me started to play in vivid details as I barely managed to keep walking. Hundreds of scenarios played in my head as I started to rush back home. And all of them ended up being the same. I don’t want to see him. I have to go away. And for that, I can not return back to my house.

“I-I’m going to visit the garden,” I murmured as I turned around and started heading to the forest.

“What! Let me come with you!” Anxo shouted as I rushed into the forest.

I shook my head as I frantically blabbered. “No. Don’t follow me.”
