Chapter 37: Second Chance
Liliana’s POV
I open my eyes to a meadow of ethereal beauty—a canvas painted by nature itself. The air is filled with the fragrance of blooming flowers, their hues more vibrant than anything I have ever seen. The grass beneath me is like a velvety carpet, inviting me to sink into its comforting embrace.
Am I in heaven?
I sit up, taking in the beauty of the surroundings, and from the distance, I see a figure emerge from the golden glow of the field.
A woman, radiant and otherworldly, with hair that cascades down like a waterfall of moonlit silk. Her eyes shimmer with a profound serenity, reflecting the tranquillity that blankets this surreal landscape.
I should be on the edge, I should have my guard up but for some reason, I feel at ease in the presence of this woman. The woman reaches where I stand.
