Amelia's POV

My heart was still pounding in my chest as I sat up in bed, what remained of the dream was still stuck in my mind. I turned towards my side and saw the soft light filtering through the curtains, it was morning already.

It took me a moment to realize that it had all been a dream—a terrifying, surreal nightmare.

I let out a shaky breath and ran a hand through my hair, feeling the dampness of sweat on my forehead. Gripping the pillow tightly, I tried to calm my racing thoughts. "Fucking hell," I muttered under my breath, the curse slipping out before I could stop it.

Just then, a sharp knock on the door startled me, causing me to jump in surprise. "Shit," I cursed again, my heart still pounding in my chest. With trembling hands, I pushed myself out of bed and made my way towards the door, trying to steady my nerves.
