Alpha Waylen's POV

“You can't be serious.” Alpha Chad said under his breath. I could see that he was slightly getting offended, just like I was, but he kept his calm.

The room fell into an eerie silence as Alpha Chad's words hung in the air. My mind raced, processing the audacity of his proposition. How could he suggest such a thing? Amelia was not just anyone that could be traded for the sake of an alliance. My protective instincts flared up again, and I became even more annoyed.

I stood up abruptly, my fists clenched and my voice echoing with intent.

"I will not repeat myself," I said loudly, my tone cutting through the silence. "Amelia and her children are under my protection, and I will not entertain any suggestion that suggests differently or reduces her to a bargaining chip.
